M$ supports anti-discrimination bill again

And it's just flip, flop, flip.

Three cheers for M$, though, for so publicly and bravely promoting gay rights within its company.

I would argue that the context is far more important than the "official stance". I highly doubt that Mr. Balmer has truly been deliberating over morals, and so I do give points to the employees who have taken action, but I would not give the corporation any credit for taking any risks.

unless you were being sarcastic on their bravery, in which case, I have single-handedly wrung any subtle humor from this post.

well I don't know. Even without supporting the bill, M$ is one of the least discriminating companies against gay people. Had they simply ignored the storm, M$ would continue to be one of the least discriminating companies, as equally attractive a place to work as before. That's why I'm impressed they're back in support of the bill, despite looking like a flip-flop and (from your comment) with little to gain publicity-wise.
